Renovation of the Busi pavilion in Rome
The new gynaecological oncology at the San Camillo
Renovation, high technology, confort and healthcare excellence
The executive design which won the tender is based on the complete renovation of the original architectural structure to its original plan, volume and composition. Indeed the Busi is the first pavilion on the left at the entrance of the San Camillo, which was inaugurated by Benito Mussolini on 27th October 1929. At the time it was one of the most modern hospitals with the popular pavilion structure.
Over the years the hospital has been caught up in the expansion of the city and its update represents an important step for the healthcare of the Romans. The project re-opened the original openings, spaces, components and the decorations, bringing back solidity and space to the environments. The technological rooms and the areas for the accelerators are in a dedicated underground floor, looking onto the back courtyard, offering comfort and quality of living along with healthcare innovation.
