The new location of the Medical Centre, which has been active in Reggio Emilia since 1982, has allowed for the increase of the highly specialised services offered. The reconversion of an open plan industrial building means that is was possible to find an optimum set up for the new rooms according to two differentiated pathways with regard to intensity of treatment. At the same time it is a closed ring which allows maximum flexibility and reduces the movement time of the staff.

From the reception and waiting area at the entrance a pathways leads to the clinics, the box area and the large gym. The other path leads to the rehabilitation pool and the other gym. Each area has changing rooms and dedicated restrooms divided for men and women, with a clean, one-directional flow. Particular attention was paid during construction to the colors and materials, to natural and artificial lighting and to the choice of furnishings and integrated medical equipment.
