The “Bosco dell’Impero” park in Canossa
Renovation of the “Bosco dell’Impero” urban park
The renewal of the “Bosco dell’Impero” (Imperial wood) is an important enhancement project of the recreational equipment of the Municipality of Canossa.
The aim of the project is to create an equipped urban park after some preparatory work on the area in question such as internal pathways, the arena, the stage and the terrace steps, as well as a disused budding and the adjustment of an existing landslide area.
In particular, due to the increasing need for space and activities, one of the tasks was the extension of the arena, moving back the existing terraced steps which were rebuilt and extended compared to the previous ones. Furthermore, a raised stage and modular structure were created. The structure can support specially made stage scenery.
The area of the park was then renovated with a vast lawn area surrounded by large stretches of vegetation. Further work was done on the restructuring and the extension of the disused building in the area, creating an equipped structure with rooms for associations and a multi-functional room.
