Stand-alone energy system for housing and commerce
Stand-alone energy system for housing and commerce
Project for the creation of an autonomous modular energy production system, either solar or wind-powered, with electric and thermal energy storage and restitution systems for residential or commercial units.
The prototype consists in a prefabricated awning, to be inserted in building complexes, equipped with solar panels and possibly with wind turbines, complete with accumulation salt batteries.
The objective is to produce electrical and/or thermal energy on the spot, to isolate the building complexes and make them independent from the network, with considerable environmental, economic and social improvement on a global level.
It is an extensive objective that does not refer only to energy production, but also its use in a global view of sustainable development and reduction of CO2 emissions.
They can be used for low power charges in isolated areas (boat battery chargers, telecommunications repeater power etc.) to serve homes in areas that are not easily reachable with the electric grid (mountain chalets) or used together with other kinds of electrical generators (wind or diesel).
The stand-alone systems are characterised by:
The stand-alone electrical and thermal energy storage system was developed to guarantee the use of energy produced from renewable sources in any moment of the day and in any weather conditions.
