IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo hospital in Pavia
Definitive advanced project for electrical and specialist systems
Emergency and urgency, innovation and technology, care and comfort, organisation and efficiency
The project is for the new block of the DEA, Department of Emergencies and Urgencies, with the emergency room, operating block and intensive therapy all closely integrated. Above these are the new towers that house the surgery and medical patient rooms. This is an important project to update structures, that have become obsolete and divided by the old pavilion system, and transform it into a modern, highly specialised hospital with a high level of integration and efficiency.
The project also had an original development since it was directed and coordinated by the technical area of the hospital with the help and consultancy of the faculty of engineering of the University of Pavia for the architectural design, from Binini Partners for the electrical and specialist systems and Caire Progettazione for the mechanical systems. The advanced definitive project, set up in this way, lead to one of the first integrated tenders in Italy.
