PTPC river adjustment in Reggio Emilia

Three-dimensional modelling of the terrain, hydrological-hydraulic modelling, planning of the river area, affecting work.

The study, drafted during the creation of the new PTCP, the provincial plan for territorial coordination, and its adjustment to the PAI, the plan for the hydrogeological layout of the Po basin, considered all the main rivers of the province: the Po, Enza, Crostolo and Secchia as well as their first-level affluents, the Rodano, Modolonea and Quaresimo which go back up to the hills.

The hydrogeological and hydraulic models were developed based on the automatic modelling and the network and the affecting works. The resulting models led to the definition of the river levels and the intention plan based on the criteria set by the competent authority. The results, inserted in the PTCP, include the definition of the hydraulic reference framework, the indication of the river and environmental regions, the study of the main interference and the inhabited areas and the elaboration of the technical and regulatory proposals.
